Mom picked a hiding spot, got herself tucked away, and then discovered one small problem: her dog was watching the whole thing. The Xolo stands on the bed above her, staring straight down as the pet parent hides beside it, and the @adaptyourflow video quickly makes it clear that she is not on Mom’s team.

Mom tries telling the dog to go away, but that only makes her more interested in what her human is doing. Then, she walks around the bed and finds her again. Just when it seems the hiding spot might survive, she jumps back onto the bed and looks straight down at mom again. Hide-and-seek has officially become a one-dog investigation.

Dog gives away mom’s hiding spot during a game of hide-and-seek with her son

Mom is tucked beside the bed while her son searches for her, but the dog is standing right above her with a very clear view of the situation. The text on the video says it all: “POV: You’re playing hide-and-seek with your son, and your dog is clearly not on your team.”

Mom tries to shoo her away, but that does not help. The dog looks down at her with even more interest, then turns toward the boy when he approaches the room. She eventually walks away, giving Mom a brief chance to believe the hiding spot might still work. It does not.

She comes around the bed and stands right by Mom’s feet, giving away the location all over again. The boy is now searching nearby and asks, “Mommy, say a word,” hoping for a clue. He really does not need one because the dog jumps back onto the bed and immediately starts staring down the side, right toward Mom. At this point, the game has become less about finding the parent and more about watching the dog reveal the hiding spot.

This video of the Xolo and Mom has picked up more than 9,600 likes, and viewers have had plenty of theories about this funny dog betrayal. One commenter joked that she must have had her treat broken in half earlier. Another said a Xolo probably cannot handle having its owner out of sight for more than 10 seconds, imagining the dog thinking, “Yo I found her, no need to panic!!!” Someone else wrote, “I No English, u speak woof?”
